William C. Slabaugh, Esq.

William C. Slabaugh graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Finance in 2006. William graduated Florida A&M University, College of Law in 2010 and was admitted to The Florida Bar that same year. He began his career in the area of criminal law with The Baez Law Firm of Kissimmee, Florida as counsel for numerous felony and misdemeanor cases throughout Central Florida.

William later moved to South Florida and joined a large real estate law firm in Boca Raton in 2012, where he quickly rose in the ranks. William developed a vast knowledge of real estate and civil litigation experience within a short period of time. Within two years, he was named the managing attorney of the firm, which consisted of 24 attorneys and over 200 paralegals and support staff.

In 2016, William became a founding Partner of Advocates Title & Escrow’s affiliated law firm, Legal Advocates, PLLC, where he has devoted both his transactional and civil litigation knowledge and experience to his clients and their interests.

William also serves as in-house Counsel for a mid-sized Accounting/CPA and Business Consulting firm.

William is also a member of the Florida Attorneys Title Insurance Fund (“The Fund”) authorized to serve as the closing agent for residential and commercial real estate transactions and write title insurance policies through Old Republic Title Insurance Company and is a Partner of Advocates Title & Escrow, PLLC.

Erik T. Silevitch is originally from Andover, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. He attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where he majored in legal studies, and was a participant in numerous honors projects involving alternate dispute resolution.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts Degree, Erik moved to Fort Lauderdale to pursue his law degree at the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. Throughout the duration of law school, he gained valuable legal experiences as an intern for the Broward County Public Defender’s office, as well as Shuster & Saben, LLC., in Plantation, Florida.

After Erik became a member of The Florida Bar in 2011, he joined a large firm specializing in civil litigation related to real estate matters for large corporate clients across the United States. Erik quickly became a skilled litigation and trial attorney and oversaw both departments of the firm; earning him recognition from his peers and coworkers.

In 2016, Erik became a founding Partner of Advocates Title & Escrow’s affiliated law firm, Legal Advocates, PLLC, where he has devoted his transactional and civil litigation knowledge and experience to his clients and their interests.

Candace Slabaugh, Esq.

Candace L. Slabaugh started her career in the mortgage industry in 2002 as a processor and became a licensed title insurance agent in 2007. After working for a commercial lender for several years, she decided to go back to school to become a lawyer in 2011.

Candace graduated cum laude from Barry University School of Law in 2014 and has been practicing real estate law and handling residential and commercial title closings ever since. Before starting at Advocates Title, Candace spent several years as the REO Title Attorney for a large foreclosure firm, representing FNMA/Fannie Mac. She managed a department that handled approximately 200+ closings per month.

She then spent three years working for a commercial lender as general counsel overseeing complex real estate transactions of all kinds. Candace has worn many hats over the past 20 years of her real estate career and has experience in handling every step of a variety of real estate transactions from start to finish.

Matthew Glachman graduated from the University of Maryland in 2009 with a Bachelor in Criminology & Criminal Justice. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2012 and was admitted to The Florida Bar that same year. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2012 and was admitted to The Florida Bar that same year.

Matthew worked at one of Florida’s leading foreclosure defense firms during law school. Upon graduation from law school, Matthew worked for a real estate law firm focusing on creditor rights and handling complex foreclosure litigation. He has represented some of the nation’s largest mortgage lenders and mortgage servicing companies.

Matthew is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Matthew is also a member of the Florida Attorneys Title Insurance Fund (“The Fund”), is authorized to write title insurance policies through Old Republic Title Insurance Company, and is an agent of Advocates Title & Escrow, PLLC.

Jordan Marcus Brill, Esq.

Jordan Brill graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University in 2007. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2011 and his license to practice law in the State of Florida.

Jordan specializes in real property litigation. Jordan has successfully represented Landlords, Tenants, Property Managers, and Property Owners in cases involving: sale and purchase contract disputes; foreclosure; real estate title defects; landlord and tenant disputes; homeowner’s and condominium owner’s disputes; homestead exemptions; and partitions of real property.

Jordan is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and is a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Sections of The Florida Bar.
